LeBron James, Admiral Ackbar, & Nerdy Hillbillies

So, here’s what I’ve done since the last blog this past Monday. That day and Tuesday were rather dull so I’ll skip ahead to Wednesday the 25th. Me and someone I know went out to a local restaurant as a long drive just wasn’t in the cards. We went to Red Lobster, a restaurant I don’t usually frequent but in recent times I’ve realized that shrimp is fine-enough to eat so that was a good spot to go. There was also a 5 dollar giftcard that my pal had got… again, a good reason to go there. I had some sirloin and giant shrimp, along with a baked potato and French fries. I wanted the sirloin to be medium well and it turned out well done (if not more than that) and I wasn’t sure about the waiter, but the meat still tasted good (that’s what she said!) and the rest of the food also was more than edible, so I won’t complain. Plus, I got some leftovers for the next day.

My Thursday was not worth talking about, except for watching the Chicago Bulls basketball playoff game against the hated Miami Heat. I’ve never really cared for the team but I really disliked them after this past summer, when they got three “big names” to get together to try and win the big title as otherwise they could never grab the brass ring… ok, so one of them already got a ring, but he got help, via a big name and alleged poor officiating. As I’ve always enjoyed the Bulls from when I was a little Pac, I especially wanted them to win. Alas, they were too young, and the Heat ended up winning the series and they’ll go against the Mavericks in the finals. I’m definitely rooting for Dallas. It’s just that the game on this night was SO disappointing because Chicago was up by a big amount in the 4th quarter but they blew it. Sigh.

Friday, I went to Walt Disney World (heh heh heh) and Hollywood Studios in particular, as I wanted to try out the new Star Tours ride. I had been on the old one quite a few times, but it’s 2011, and that ride was designed 25 years old, and definitely showed its age the last few years there. The new ride is definitely a lot smoother; the old one was rather herky-jerky. It also happens to be the time of Star Wars weekend, where around this time every year, there are a few weekends devoted to that franchise and you see parades, autograph signings, and shocking to everyone I’m sure, an assload of merchandise being sold. In fact, I bought one myself; it was a big plastic cup with Darth Vader on it. Rather cool. Anyhow, the ride is a lot fancier, with it being in 3-D and the good idea of it having 54 possible storylines, as a few times throughout it, several different things can appear, so the first time I was on it, I went through the ice planet in the Hoth system before going through Coruscant (it’s set between Episodes 3 and 4), and the second time I went on I was in that overlong pod race from Episode 1 (although thankfully it was short here) and went through the Death Star, and the third was the same as the first except that I went through the Wookie (the way I choose to spell it) planet of Kashyyyk. Yep, I went on it three times. The lines the first two times weren’t too long at all, and the third I had a Fast Pass. I highly recommend the ride. You can see a variety of characters on it, from Vader to Princess Leia and Boba Fett even the cult favorite Admiral Ackbar, who never utters “It’s a trap!”, much to my disappointment.

As for the parade, I briefly watched it and I saw the likes of Jawa, the Ackbar again, stormtroopers walking about, and a little later I saw DANCING by Bith with some park guests. You know, those weird-looking aliens that played in the band in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Episode 4. But, maybe I should stop here as this has become a rather geeky blog, especially considering I knew most of the above Star Wars information without having to look it up. Hey, the original movies are awesome… the prequels, much less so.

As for the rest of the afternoon there, the crowd at the park was large and yet most of the attractions didn’t have too long of a wait, so I was able to experience many of the adventures at Hollywood Studios. I also had to deal with my fellow guests at the park, some of whom were as stupid as a Gungan. I want to be cheery here so I won’t be ranting and raving about those individuals.

Anyhow, Saturday was dull until the evening, when I went to the local Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the latest UFC pay per view. I wore that Armani Exchange shirt I mentioned in the last blog*. The show wasn’t the best at all when it came to “big names” but from what I heard the fights had the potential to deliver on an excitement level. I was hoping that this time around I wouldn’t see a multiple person brawl involving plain clothes policemen like I did after the last UFC pay per view I saw there late last month.

• Which I also wore on the 21st when I returned to Mako’s. Which reminds me, there’s a hilarious story from that night I’m just telling now. In short, I saw a young brunette lady milling about with her boyfriend and her pals. Things looked normal until I saw her smile… and she was missing one of her two front teeth! She’s not a 9 year old, so I don’t know why she doesn’t realize that you CAN get a crown put on that shit. She looked like a nerdy hillbilly to quote The Hangover… whose sequel I will see sooner rather than later.

It turns out, the show wasn’t all that great, IMO. Sure, there were some interesting and entertaining moments, but overall it sure as hell wasn’t like the event last month. The crowd was down from last month, too, and while there were no fights among the patrons, they didn’t react to much of anything on the show, and understandably so. There isn’t too much else to say, but I had some booze there and then I continued drinking at home, and that was a poor decision. Holy Cripes did I feel pretty bad until about late afternoon on Sunday. My stomach didn’t feel good at all and that’s all anyone needs to know.

So, I didn’t do anything on that day and that’s the same for today, Memorial Day. When I return a week from today, I have no idea what I’ll be posting. I’ll probably be seeing a movie or two but that’s really about it so far.

Francois Sez Fas, Flashe' No Do

Yep, I’m quoting a line from Blondie’s Rapture. It’s more than overtired by now, but when I heard all that nonsense about The Rapture coming on Saturday, I always thought of the Blondie song. Needless to say, I never believed it was going to happen. That dumbass reverend never showed any proof of his calculations so you knew he was a false prophet, and while I think the whole thing is funny, I do feel sort of bad for the suckers who actually believed him and gave up all their possessions and that sort of jazz.

But, as for what I did in the past week, I’ll explain it in this lengthy blog; it’s only a few things, as otherwise I laid low and didn’t do much at all. What I did, though, was interesting. Monday, I went to the Dr. Phillips area and while I was in a parking lot, I came too close to comfort to getting run over by a truck driver (but of course) in a parking lot, as he was driving like a real Troglodyte. Typical Floridian. My Tuesday through Thursday had nothing of note, so I’ll skip ahead to Friday.

I won’t go into the details but I had to return to Miami to take care of some business. No, it wasn’t anything bad at all; I am just not going to mention what the details were for me being there. Unless something pops up, the next time I’ll be down there will be at least a year from now. I’d like to see a game at the new baseball stadium for the Florida Marlins, which will be open by that time. While I was down there for a too-long day trip, among the things I did was visit the Aventura Mall, the Sawgrass Mills Mall, and I stopped to eat at some places I hadn’t been to before and they don’t have up around Orlando or Tampa.

I’ll mention what I want to mention in chronological order. I ended up in the Miami Beach area. Yeah, I was in Miami… bitch. I know, the later I bring up that song lyric, the less relevant it will be. Anyhow, I ended up at a place I found out just a few days before. It’s a joint that started up in New York relatively recently known as the Shake Shack. I stumbled upon an article which compared their burgers to Five Guys and even the cult favorite known as In-N-Out. They compared the three but it was a garbage article as it required flying out the burger from the west on an airplane to the east coast (!) and it was crap, although they did like the Shake Shack one the best. Me, I had it with a shake and the burger was good, but I don’t know if it was the best I ever had. The shake was quality, though. I then drove to the Aventura Mall as I hadn’t been there for almost 2 years. It was pretty much the way I remembered it, but it was nice as something different. I was there when I found out that Macho Man Randy Savage had passed away. I was at the Apple Store and got on a computer to look something up, when I stumbled upon that bit of news, and it was quite the shock to me, and it made me sad, as he was definitely a beloved figure from back when I was a kid and pro wrestling was actually great to watch rather than the mostly unwatchable horse droppings it has become now. I loved watching him in his prime, his wacky and LOUD persona sticking out even in those wacky WWF days of old.

After that, I ate at a restaurant mainly in Pittsburgh but they have some branches in South Florida, including close by the Sawgrass Mills Mall. It’s Primanti Bros. Restaurant, most famous for wacky sandwiches which feature both cole slaw and French fries *in the sandwich itself*. To me, yuck! I don’t like cole slaw anyhow, and French fries combined with sandwiches is not for me. I had a burger and fries there (but of course) and they tasted good. I then spent some time at the mall before driving back home. Man, was that a long day. While at that mall, I did stop by Armani Exchange and I got a shirt there. Technically, it was one of their outlet stores, so I didn’t spend an arm and a leg there. The shirt I got (white and it has red and blue all over in a cool design) was only 20 bucks, so I considered that a steal, as it looked cool and it would fit well for going to hip places like the nights I go out to see the UFC or downtown Orlando.

It turns out that all the driving I did wasn’t as stressful as when I was down there last month. In fact, Saturday night was worse… while I was in Miami Beach I saw such vehicles as the BMW X5 M and X6 (SUV’s that cost close to 100 grand when new), an Aston Martin coupe, a Ferrari convertible-red, naturally-a Tesla Roadster (a fancy car that goes fast… and happens to be all-electric! I had never seen one in the wild before), a Rolls-Royce Phantom made from within the past few years-and may have been driven by Pitbull! Yes, the Miami rapper. It could have been him, based on his looks, and he certainly could afford one of those. Seeing cars that fancy in that part of Florida isn’t rare.

Saturday night, on a whim I decided to go out and return to good old Mako’s, as I was able to and I don’t know when I will be able to return there next. I went out and from where I left (it wasn’t in my neighborhood… or was it?) I have to wait at a gate for it to open before driving through. It’s the deal where it’s in two and they meet in the middle. In this particular case, only the right side of the gate opens up and there’s a clear site on the left part of the gate which neatly explains this… of course I come across a mental midget in front of me who was acting like they’d both open, as if it was the gates of a palace opening up to welcome him in. Well, he was too stupid to figure out why the gate wasn’t opening (he needed to be on the right side only for it to work) so instead of honking or jumping out of the car to pound on his window, I squeezed through to the area where it opens, and then once I did I went through; it’s not like there was room for that moron to go through first. Well, he got obviously butthurt that I embarrassed him and put a clownsuit on him, as briefly he was driving like he wanted to start something with me. I could have played along but that could have resulted in something real bad, so I instead ignored him and while it meant I had a little longer drive than planned to get there, I lost that asshole. So, I win. A little later, I saw a surprising sight. I was on the Stonybrook West Parkway, not too far away from getting on 429 and then the Turnpike. I was by the Whispering Oak Elementary School, and going the other way was a big one car accident (it wasn’t the idiot I dealt with earlier in this block of text… unfortunately). Somehow, the car jumped the curb and went flying into a huge fence where the posts are made of stone columns. As expected, that car was totaled and I have no possible idea how that accident happened, as it happened just past a stop light.

As for my time at Mako’s this time, there’s only a few things to mention… I still had a lot of fun there, though, despite…

• The major thing I’ll remember from the night is that the A/C there ended up being on the fritz so it ended up being hotter than a son of a bitch there. I felt like I was sweating as if I was James Best in Rolling Thunder (or to use a more modern example, most of the cast in Predator). I consumed beer to cool off, and while I’m there I usually have to use the men’s room a few times. This time, it happened only once. I’ll presume that I sweated out much of the booze I had drank.
• The theme of the night… lesbians! I’m not just talking about those of the “lipstick” variety, although I did see that happen right before I left, which is leaving on a high note. I then saw one of the two girls kiss a dude, so yeah, she isn’t a real lesbian. I did see some legit ones, though, and one of them provided a rather lol moment, at least for me. That lesbian passed by a straight girl, and immediately thereafter the straight girl yelled, “Ahhh! That lesbian just groped me!” I was quite surprised to hear that.

Actually, come to think of it that’s about it for highlights there. Sure, I saw and heard a near-fight happen amongst some people I would put in the “bro” category, it otherwise was not the most eventful time there… but I still had a lot of fun with the usual wackiness and fanatical sights and sounds there.

When I do my next blog a week from today on Memorial Day, I know I’ll talk about the latest UFC pay per view and I may see a movie or two and do other things involving going out and about.

Another Blog Post That Has Been Rated “R”

Note, that R rating mainly applies to the second part of the blog, but the first part has some vulgarity too.

Sometime last year I did a blog post that I had rated “R”; why I did it I’m not quite sure, and I wish that those MySpace blogs were as easy to search as they used to be so that I could track it down and read it to remember what I said that would make it vulgar, but alas…

So, I ended up not doing too much on Sunday, so most of this deals with Saturday the 14th. I went to Sanford to see a wrestling show that would also pay tribute to Mr. Mark Meister, the person who I wrote about in the last blog post I did on Saturday. I want to mention right away that the most important part of the show is how well they paid tribute to him (many of the people involved with the event were friends with him, so such things as “match quality” means Jack Shit given the circumstances; he passed away about 48 hours before the event started, after all) and they did indeed do a great job of paying tribute to him. There was a 10 bell salute to him to start off the show (something common at wrestling shows when someone dies), only in this case it was a 19 bell salute. There was a seat left empty for him, a shirt of his placed on it. A few other nice gestures were done, and I give everyone credit for putting on this show with this sort of situation happening to them. I could tell some of the performers were pretty Goddamn upset during the event, but that’s more than understandable, and even though I was surprised at some of the things I saw, I won’t carp about it either. I am glad I went to that show; I was thinking about attending it anyway, but after I heard about 19 passing away, it was a must for me to attend this, and it was a good choice on my part. It was also nice to see some familiar faces there and chat with them.

Before the show, I drove up to Sanford and spent some time at their mall and then ate dinner at a nearby McDonalds. Rather mundane.

After the show, I went… to downtown Orlando! Yep, Mako’s, as it’s been far too long since I’ve paid patronage there. For the most part it was the usual greatness there with scantily clad women being around, most of the employees in various stages of undress, wacky games, loud music, shit being thrown about, and whatnot. So, I’ll mention a few important things, including the rather incredible final 45 or so minutes I spent there.

• They decided to make Saturday night “Bachelorettes Night”, and their new gimmick is that each bride-to-be gets a t-shirt with a checklist on the back and if they do all the activities on it (no, it’s not like a scavenger hunt) then they get a free bottle of champagne. Pretty nifty.
• Also nifty is that the area I have spent a lot of time in throughout the years-the back area known as the Pentagon Bar-is now totally changed. It is a lot more space-efficient, sure, but I will miss how it used to look.
• The emcee was fine, although at one point he mentioned the phrase “Cleveland Steamer”. The crowd audibly groaned, along with me. That’s just gross. If you don’t know what a Cleveland Steamer is… it’s really for the best! It’s a very disgusting thing.
• I saw a former employee there as a guest. No, not the long-time employee who quit last summer. Rather, it was another dame. She was with her boyfriend-a big dude, too-so I only briefly chatted with her, but it was still nice to see her.
• As a side note that will become relevant in a moment, in the past few months I’ve heard some colorful terms be used to describe when a guy is “excited”. They include “potato in your pants” and “from 6 to 12”, which I don’t think need any further explanation. The former reminds me of the old joke involving stuffing a cucumber down your pants and the punchline being, “You’re supposed to put it in the FRONT of your pants!”
• The highlight of the night for me was all the action on the stage, where you commonly see the female guests to this place get up on there and shaking their wares to all the males there. I’ve enjoyed looking at that stage hundreds of times before. This time, I decided to be a real pervert and get right up to the stage so that I could get the best view. Hey, I see it as the girls are doing it to get attention, so I’d satisfy them by happily looking on. Speaking of satisfy… oh wait, I better stop that thought process.
• What I said about potatoes and 6 to 12 applied here… there were some fantastic-looking ladies up there, most of them dressed in tiny dresses. The highlight, at least in terms of wanting attention (which she clearly got from the other guys near the stage!) was a young Latina lady who wore tiny leather shorts and thigh-high black stockings. Really. She really worked it, posing in a rather trampy manner, to state it bluntly. I still looked, sure, but the way that young lady was acting, not really a girl to bring home to mom and dad… well, maybe dad won’t complain, but you know what I mean! Just judging her by the way she acted here, not a virtuous girl… although fun to hang out with, I imagine.

So yeah, I stayed there until they closed at 2AM, then I made the drive home. I had a lot of fun there, as you can see.

Sunday was rather boring (I was damn tired so I decided to stay in and not do anything fun in the late night), but I did go to the grocery store to get a few items. I was in the section where they sell shampoo and body wash, and saw that Axe, the company that markets itself as the source of the aphrodisiac that will help men get some tits & ass, released yet another new product. Now, I use their stuff. I’m sure some smartasses will come up with some pithy comments from the peanut gallery, but it’s actually because they have a wide variety of interesting products, and the newest one I got is called “Thai Massage”! Really now. Talk about playing up (or down) to stereotypes about Asian massage parlors and “Happy Endings” and what have you.

In a reference that the people reading this who live or lived in my old hometown of Belvidere, Illinois should get, there was (and still is! I know that from doing a Google search) a massage parlor in Belvidere known as C’est La Vie that offers up more than just a massage of your back and shoulders… for an extra price. You know, the Clarence Carter song “Strokin’” and all that.

Of course, I haven’t been there-if you don’t know, I’ll just say it would have a REAL bad idea for me to check it out at the time I still lived in Illinois-but I know someone who told me one night that he went there in the past and it’s exactly what you’d expect, where a regular massage is done first then for some more money some “extra” stuff can be done. I believe the guy said he refused the offer, but around Belvidere, that place has quite a bit of infamy and I’m sure other people I know have paid a visit to it before.

So, with this tawdry blog done and other with, I’ll tell you that my next one, which should be posted next Monday, will be a return to my normal and not so raunchy self.

A Melancholy Edition Of This Blog

So, I’m posting this earlier than I was planning, but it’s due to a sad reason. Yet again, someone I talked to in the world of wrestling has passed away. For the past few years now, whenever I saw Orlando-area wrestling fan (and behind the scenes guy, too) Mark Meister/Mr. Wrestling 19/Marcus Pitt at a show I would almost always at least briefly speak to him. He was a huge wrestling fan and loved to help out various wrestlers and other people connected with the local wrestling scene. He started up a wrestling site last year and if I hadn’t decided to stop writing about the Florida wrestling scene and heavily curtailed my attending or following shows and the scene, it’s likely I would have written for that site.

Anyhow, I knew that in the past he had his share of health problems, but it was just last month that I saw him at a wrestling show and he seemed fine. I briefly talked to him, and now I wish I would have had a longer conversation with him. It wasn’t until Thursday evening that I heard his health had taken a turn for the worse; I saw the news on Facebook via a friend’s post. I wrote a message on there to someone I know about the matter, and right after I sent it I found out he had passed away. I was shocked and I feel pretty sad about it. I know that there are a lot of people involved with the scene (from fans to wrestlers to anyone else) are quite upset about it too. Some people knew him really well, and I can only imagine what they or his family are going through right now. Of course, the Toadies in the past said some really awful things about him, but as I’ve said 100,000 times before, they’re awful human beings so that sort of repugnant behavior is almost expected from them by now. Anyhow, tonight I’ll be attending a wrestling show in Sanford that he likely would have been at. Now, it will be a night where they’ll pay tribute to him beforehand and I’m sure a lot of the wrestlers will dedicate their matches to the guy known as Mr. Wrestling 19.

RIP to Mark Meister and I send out my condolences to all of his family and friends.

That heartrending story aside, this week at least started off more interesting than last week for me. Sure, what I wrote about and Monday were the only noteworthy things for me (trust me, Tuesday through Friday were way too mundane to even think about discussing here), but I have a feeling that Saturday and possibly Sunday will be filled with a cornucopia of things to chronicle. So, here’s some more comical stuff to try and cheer the readers up after reading a sad first part of this blog.

Monday, I had free time so I went to I-Drive (usually asking for trouble there with the number of dumb tourists around who drive like the speed limit is 20 miles lower than it actually is) and I had an idea or two as to where to eat dinner, but I drove by Bahama Breeze and realized it’s been far too long since I’ve eaten there, so I made a U-turn and decided to eat there. Sure, I had my usual-or as some would say, “almost always”-of a burger and fries, but I also tried something for the first time… a mai tai. Seriously, I had never tried one before. I understand there are many variations, but what I had was good; so was the food. After that I had a hankerin’ for yogurt, so yep, I went to the nearby Pinkberry. I ate part of the lychee meal there and I finished it at home. I saw two interesting things there. The first is the fact that I saw a young girl eating yogurt who happened to be bald. You usually know what that means, and that’s always sad to see/hear. But, she seemed to be in good spirits, and plus, I should never complain about anything, really, when there’s people who are definitely worse off than me.

On a lighter note, while I was eating there I saw a 2012 Fiat 500 pass by. It’s the first one I’ve ever seen in the wild, much less in person. It’s a cute little car, based on a cute little car they made way back in the day that was seemingly popular everywhere around the world except in the U.S. In the U.S., Fiat used to be around but they left; they had a bad reputation. When Fiat became popularly known in a pejorative acronym for “Fix It Again, Tony” (their cars broke down a lot), you can see why they left. Well, they’re back, better, own a big percentage of Chrysler, and that’s why they’re back with that Fiat 500 I saw pass by. It looks nice and who knows, the next time I have to buy a car-Lord knows when that’ll be-that could be the vehicle I replace the Mazda with.

I’ll be back on Monday (it may not be until the evening, though) with my next blog, where I talk about what I did today and tomorrow. It’ll be eventful, I promise you that.

Oh, and look at the right of this page. If you do that, you'll see a brief note about my (failed) attempt to try and port what I had on MySpace to another location.

So...

There's no easy (or probably even possible) way to export my old MySpace blogs from there to here... or anywhere else, in fact. Figures. So, at the top of the page I linked to the page on MySpace where my blogs are located. Of course there's no quick way to go to any particular post (instead you have to click on "more" at the bottom of the page to scroll through slowly all of the posts I made on there from early May all the way to 2005... what crap. I HATE the new layout MySpace adopted last year; it's God-awful and is seemingly designed to turn people OFF from using the service... as if they needed help there in that regard.

I'll post something new Saturday afternoon

Cinco De Paco, And Other Not So Zany Tales

So, this blog won’t be too eventful (the next one, though… what I do from the 9th to the 16th may be so eventful I’ll have to split it into two different blogs), but I’ll press on anyhow and mention what I did do. Before that, though, I have to say that with MySpace being down today, I've just given up on posting anything there any longer. The site has been so awful the past year or so I've only logged onto it to post my blogs, and that's it. By this time next week I'll for sure make this fancier, but this will do for now.

By the way, that title is due to my nickname being Blairpac; if you don’t know, that relates to something way back in high school, with my fellow pro wrestling fans at the time; that was back when big time pro wrestling was actually awesome and now the awful crap it’s been for way too long now. It’s not that I’m a huge Tupac fan… although I don’t hate him either.

This past Monday was dull for me, so I’ll mention that Tuesday I went to Orlando to visit the Colonial Plaza area (which includes the awesome Total Wine & Spirits and some other stores) and I visited a few of those spots to purchase some items. Not too surprisingly, I did stop at the Total Wine & Spirits to purchase some alcoholic beverages… along with some regular sodas. I then had a big-time dinner by eating at… a nearby Arby’s. I only eat there once in awhile, so why not?

Wednesday, I was bored so I decided to go to a place I think I only went to once, and that was back before I moved down here for good. It was the nearby Lake Louisa State Park. I wanted to check it out and also do some walking around. I had forgotten how large the place is, and how pretty it is too. The weather wasn’t the best (a little drizzle) but I still enjoyed the walk on some trails and going onto the docks of the biggest lakes they have there. You can paddle around in a canoe if you want to… they make it clear there are alligators in those lakes. No thanks.

Thursday I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few items and then went to Blockbuster to rent some movies. Speaking of that, remember to check out my movie reviews blog at http://blairreviewsmovies.blogspot.com/

I’ve done 160 proper reviews, believe it or not. Anyhow, that was as much excitement as I had on Cinco de Mayo. I didn’t even consume any alcoholic beverages.

Friday was uneventful so I’ll talk about the weekend. Saturday, it was totally boring. I just stayed in and relaxed. I definitely did NOT watch the big boxing fight; I’m not a fan of that sport as I see it as a bunch of fights where guys hug each other to stop the action and it’s supposed to be punished with points taken away and it never happens. Absolutely ridiculous, and to my total non-shock the big fight was apparently brutally bad.

Sunday, I laid low too… until the evening. It was a fine Mother’s Day, featuring a nice turkey lunch with the parents. Hey, it’s what they agreed to, as if it would have been a night on the town, every restaurant would have been packed and yeah, no fun. Instead, the big meal was in the afternoon and a few hours later I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to see what was poppin’ there and turns out, not a lot. I did see the second half of the Lakers game, and talk about phoning it in. They lost badly and got swept out of the NBA playoffs. That’s fine by me, as I’ve never been a fan of them, and the way the media has performed fellatio on them the past decade or so AND they’re so overbearing and in the regular season they half-ass it often just because they can… I was glad to see them get their pants pulled down. Watching that game was interesting with the musical soundtrack I had to listen to as I sat indoors at the bar. The jukebox was going and quite the odd mix of songs was chosen by patrons, from the likes of Cash’s cover of Hurt to old late 50’s tunes to the Goldfinger theme song to a pair of disco songs with Hot Stuff and Copacabana. Wacky. By the way, late in the evening, something I ate during the day disagreed with my stomach, and I’ll spare you the gory details.

I know, a boring blog; the next one, to be uploaded around this time on the 16th, will be more exciting, I promise.
