Here's a recap of what I've done in the past week. Last Monday I ended up going out to dinner with someone I know and we decided to get crabs! To be exact, we went to a Joe's Crab Shack in west Kissimmee in a location that just recently opened. They are wacky and they enjoy talking about crabs. They're also a place that when we were there, many advertisements were plugging that they had Pabst Blue Ribbon. They must be going after the hipster crowd... I was that guy who didn't get seafood there. Instead I had chicken fingers and fries while my friend had some seafood. It was a fine-enough time there. The one time the waiters/waitresses danced (a trademark there) it was to the Quad City DJ's lone hit, C'Mon N' Ride It (The Train), which made me feel ancient as that song came out 16 years ago. Anyhow, I had only been to a Joe's once before, I think in '05 or '06, and it was nice to go somewhere different.
In the evening, Perception returned and boy, what an episode. It revolved around a psychiatrist offering up a pill that allegedly made gay people not gay; it was actually something else that resulted in “mind-blowing sex” (a phrase used a few times) and it was wildly entertaining.
Tuesday, in the morning I did a nice thing and dropped off someone at an airport. Instead of the airport in Sanford it was the infamous Orlando International one. Thankfully at least it isn't hard to navigate getting in or out of there. After I dropped that person off, I decided to head east and have lunch at Larry's Giant Subs, a place I can only visit once in a blue moon as now they only have one location and it's far away for me. I was happy to have a delicious sandwich there. After that I stopped at a random place or two before heading on home.
Wednesday and Thursday was pretty dull so let me skip ahead to Friday. I went out and about and ended up at The Cheesecake Factory, a joint I hadn't been to in too long. It was the same old same old there, but that's fine. Man, I wish that one HOT brunette who used to work there long ago still worked there. I apologize for sounding like a pig there but it's true. Of course I had a burger and fries. In terms of my evening... oh man do I know how to party! I watched something on the Lifetime Movie Network; I know, I know. Of course, it was a film starring Rachael Leigh Cook. It was a Canadian TV movie that hadn't been on American TV before. It's Stealing Paradise; I don't know why it's called that but it's about an MIT genius aeronautical engineer (believe it or not, Cook; even I was amused by that) who has a big project stolen from her by a co-worker. She gets pissed and someone kills that co-worker and everyone thinks it's her. It's a murder mystery sort of thing and no the twist isn't that she actually was the killer. It was someone else. It was fine and entertaining for what it was; of course I oogled and goggled her, to use a pair of words that someone I know online has started to use as of late. While I was watching that motion picture I consumed some alcohol, including a great concotion known as ZOMBIE KILLER, which is apple wine mixed with both cherry and honey. It's great, and no matter what anyone else may think I had a real good time on Friday night.
Saturday, oh what a day. In the late afternoon I left and ate some fast food before going to a German restaurant in Sanford. Someone I know was having a birthday get-together. For the past few years now it was done at that place. Despite my heritage, most German food isn't really for me. Too much onions and odd flavors. This time I had some Black Forest cake. It was really good! It was a fun time there, especially after the band appeared and played the traditional old-time music from the region. Yep, accordion time, singing/clapping along, and songs about drinking beer and getting drunk. Shortly before I left there was a yodeling contest; no, I did not participate but the person celebrating the birthday did. It's a friendly place so you can probably figure out what was done to declare the winner(s); it was fun, and it was amusing seeing the most intoxicated people there make the biggest fools of themselves while performing. From someone's recommendation I had the radler, which is like beer mixed with lemonade. It's actually pretty good.
After that I left and went to... Mako's! It'll be my last time there for at least the next few weeks. I had a real good time there. Besides the usual antics there with the games and loudness and people celebrating bachelorette/bachelor/birthday parties there and scantily-clad ladies, it happened to be the busiest I'd seen it there in a good amount of time, also. What I dug the most was that there was no shortage of good-looking females around. Of course I would greatly enjoy such a scenario, and I did. More oogling and goggling! The wackiest thing I saw there was a girl practically going into the men's room to yell at her wasted boyfriend and to drag him out of there. This time, no blotto'ed girs falling off of the bar. Oh, and I did get a bodyshot from a booty-tacular lady working there, and it was great. Who knows when I'll be back, though.
Sunday, the only thing I did was return to the Orlando International Airport to pick up that person and drive them back. I ate dinner at a nearby Chipotle. The day was pretty dull.
As for that big hurricane which was supposed to hit Florida but now didn't even come close to hitting any area besides Key West and the small islands around that awesome city, a lot of people in this state were awfully stupid about it and being fraidy cats and skurred about it when they really shouldn't have. It's not like this is the first hurricane to hit this state, for Christ's sake! I won't even get into the Republican National Convention being in town and how almost all of today's activities were cancelled way too soon and it turns out there likely was some rain in Tampa but that's it. It makes Florida look awfully stupid, them being dumbasses about something they should have plenty of experience dealing with. I don't want to rip on the state I live in all the damn time but I have to, especially when Floridians act this idiotic. It was rainy for much of Sunday afternoon and it was pouring rain this morning but otherwise the weather hasn't been out of the ordinary.
As for the upcoming week, I don't plan on doing too much. There was going to be a UFC show on Saturday but it got cancelled a few days ago because one of the main event fighters was a selfish A-hole, pretty much. I don't want to rant and rave about that too but I am like many in thinking the whole situation just flat out sucks. Now I'll have to find other things to do to keep me occupied. No matter what I'll be back a week from today, as always.

I Just Want To Celebrate... The Expendables 2 & Girls Literally Falling Down Drunk
Here's the customary recap of what I have done since this past Monday. That Monday itself was pretty boring. There was no Perception on that night (it'll be back tonight; this past Friday it was announced it's coming back for a second season; I was quite happy) so there's really not much to talk about at all. I at least was able to watch the final episode of the 2012 revival of the great World's Wildest Police Videos. Leave the memories alone! Thankfully now I can avoid watching that horrid wretched channel.
Tuesday, though, that was more interesting. I voted in the primary election. I actually did some research and picked the best candidate for me... which I think is more than most people do, unfortunately. I went out to the Hardee's in Ocoee first in order to check out their special plastic cup for The Expendables 2. It's nothing too fancy but it was still cool. I then went to the nearby Best Buy where I purchased some items. I got the first 8 Friday the 13th films for only 40 bucks in a special boxset. I also got the Blu-Rays of Jaws and The Raid: Redemption. I watched the latter and it is as awesome as when I saw it on the big screen a few months ago.
Wednesday I stayed in and chilled, so let me skip ahead to Tuesday. I checked out an episode of the Cinemax show known as Strike Back. It is a co-production with a British TV station. There was a British-only season but once the co-production began, the lead in the first season got killed off literally a few minutes in and you see new characters. I just saw one episode but WOW; I can see why some people in some places offered up mighty praise for it. It's graphically violent and bloody and there's plenty of nudity/boobs/sex, but it's the general plot and excitement that made me enjoy it, not the salacious stuff. I then saw the Expanded Director's Cut of The Expendables. It was released on Blu-Ray last December. It has some changes from the original; it's cool in its own way, for the most part. Then, in the evening I took off...
I ended up at Downtown Disney first for a bit; I walked around and then I took off for The Loop shopping area. I went to the Regal Theatres they have there. The only reason was that they were showing The Expendables 2 on a giant screen; it's their new RPX, which is comparable to AMC's ETX in that you have a screen a few stories tall and a fancy sound system. There weren't too many people at the screening but it seemed like the idiots found their way to sit not that far from me. When I have that problem it's in public places besides the movie theatre; it's been awhile since I've had issues while seeing a film on the big screen. This time, though, there was more than one group of people that I wish would have kept their yappers shut for a longer amount of tim e than what ended up happening... but, the sound for the movie was LOUD so that helped tune out the Troglodytes.
As for the movie... WOW. I enjoy the first one but this one blew it out of the water... after 10 minutes! I mean, really kicked it in the ass. The opening is simply incredible and lets you know right away how epic this film would be. Sure, I can quibble about minor things, but if you love watching the films from all the olds guys in the movie, then this will be like Nirvana for you. There's a lot of bloody violence and many sons of bitches get killed. I give it my highest recommendation.
Friday, I decided to stay in and chill, as I'd be going out on Saturday, and that is what I did. I will mention, though, that this summer has been the rainiest in at least a few years. At least for the past few years, in the summertime there hardly has been any rain at all which was odd as when I first moved down here I remember there being a decent amount of”sky water” when it was at its hottest down here.
Saturday, in the late afternoon I ended up at Downtown Disney. I had a fast food dinner then made it there. This time I would see The Expendables 2 on the ETX screen; now there is a giant-ass screen. It was a larger crowd than on Thursday night and the audience reactions were about the same. While I did not get a giant adrenaline rush from watching it a second time (like I did with the first time) it was still a great experience for me. Once I left there I was going to go somewhere but traffic issues (and that doesn't even include me getting PISSED at traffic for them almost reaching all-time levels of stupidity) caused me to do something different, which was me ending up on Sand Lake Road and at a Barnes & Noble. At least I was able to look around for a bit, cool off, and catch up on Twitter with my iPod Touch.
After that I went to... Mako's! I figured, “why not?” and I am glad I did, as I saw a first there. It was largely the usual there, with wacky games and what have you. I had a good time and I could talk about such things as a girl having a bachelorette party all around Orlando and while she was there that tiny Eastern Asian woman was having a grand old time, or how there were some other ladies there celebrating such things as an engagement or a birthday and they acted like fuddy-duddies and really hesitated or even refused to participate in those reindeer games, or even how there were some games done with fans of the University of Florida vs. fans of Florida State University, and U of F won all of those games. Instead, I'll talk about one lady... a lady with pink hair.
Then again maybe I shouldn't refer to her as a “lady” considering the way she was acting. I saw her dancing with a dapper-dressed gentleman who I've seen there various times in the past. They then ended up by the bar which has a pair of poles set up for girls to pole dance. Since they had that set up a few years ago I'd seen many girls dance on the pole and even walk on the countertop of the bar, with no problems. This time, though... the gentleman suddenly walked away as if he got tired of her. She got up on there and danced on the pole, and I had a feeling there would be trouble. She literally took off her high heels and tossed them in random directions with no regards to where the shoes landed nor if they hit anyone. She then nearly fell off while twirling around the pole. She lifted up her dress to show everyone her leopard print panties. Twirling on the pole she was able to do... just walking on the countertop of the bar... nope! That's right, while walking she tipped over due to heavy intoxication and she went splat a few feet to the floor. I went “holy shit!” at first, but then I saw her helped up by security... who then escorted her out of there, and then I could feel free to laugh at someone so obliterated they fell down while watching on a bar top. Oh what a night.
Sunday was pretty boring. However, I was quite shocked to hear that director Tony Scott had killed himself. I've seen some of his movies in the past (and even saw Top Gun on the big screen a few years ago; I think it was me and less than 10 others who were there at the screening) and he's produced along with his brother Ridley a variety of interesting movies/TV shows. What a shame.
When I post my next blog a week from today, I am sure it'll have some more interesting tales. I know I'll be at a birthday bash on Saturday, for example, and I know I'll stumble into some situations that once in awhile I think can only happen to me. I don't know if I'll see anything quite like a wasted tramp fall off a bar, though.

Stories of Bacardi Buckets, Purple Drank, & Saeid Mohammadpourkarkaragh
So, the Olympics are over now. It was entertaining at times to watch them on TV... even with the NBC network's pretty crappy coverage of it overall. Lord, I didn't watch any of it last night but I heard a lot about how stupid they were. It seemed like they wanted to give one final middle finger to their audience and did so in a grand fashion. No wonder why I tend to ignore broadcast TV in general unless it's sports-related. Then again, most cable networks are pretty terrible these days too... anyhow, an Olympic competitor (a weightlifter from Iran) is actually named Saeid Mohammadpourkarkaragh. Even for a Persian, what a wild-ass surname.
On Monday the 6th I got a rather troubling spam e-mail. On that day most of it was related to increasing the size of your schlong, to put it bluntly. However, there was also one that was disturbing. All the subject line said was, “Child actress Abigail Breslin turns bad.” Given that she is currently 16 years old, I did not read the e-mail. Who knows what it was all about. Otherwise, the day wasn't too exciting. I did my now usual Monday night thing and watch the show Perception. Once again it was pretty wacky yet greatly entertaining. This time Will from Will & Grace doesn't have a hallucination of a random person but this time of a famous figure... Joan of Arc! The case is religion-based and of course there's science vs. religion talk and I'm not touching that subject with a 10 foot pole on a forum such as this, a blog post. I won't even repeat the statement against God that Will makes, as it's rather blasphemous. He ends up doing something at the end that makes him not look so bad for making such comments.
Tuesday, I went out and about. It's a tooting my own horn sort of thing. I have a Disney Annual Pass and I needed to get it renewed soon, so I chose this day to do such a thing. I picked the Magic Kingdom as I hadn't been there since the wacky night of the 29th of February, where the place was open for 24 hours straight and a surprising number of people were there for the entire 24 hours. I wanted to see the new part of Fantasyland that opened last month. I walked around it and it's a circus-themed thing that has the typical Dumbo ride and a kids roller coaster based on Goofy that I did go on just to try it out. It was a standard kids coaster. I did not stay there for too long as it was busier than expected (the weather was predicted to not be good, and that was true by the time I left) but I still went on Splash Mountain as I usually don't go on it when I'm there. I know, a humble-brag on my part. There was the usual dumb kids/stupid parents there... I tried to ignore that as usual and I had a decent time there. After I rode Splash Mountain the dark clouds rolled in and the rumbling started; I got the heck out of there. That meant no Space Mountain, so no WHOOOO for me.
I was going to stop at a fast food place but on the way there there was me road-raging at some jackass who was impeding traffic because he was an asshole, so I made it clear to him what I thought of his driving “skills”. Yep, I was pretty steamed, but I did not want to have any possible angry confrontations in a local fast food parking lot, so I just drove home and had dinner there.
Wednesday, I went with someone to the restaurant known as Logan's Roadhouse; it's one of those faux-country places where they offer up good buns and have a bucket of peanuts on the table and you deposit the shells right on the ground. I have been there a handful of times before, but this time it was in a brand new location which is the most convenient for me. Nothing to note there; while the wait stuff was discombobulated throughout, at least the order wasn't F'd up and the food itself tasted pretty good, as usual.
Thursday I was out and about for a bit. I visited some spots, including a ghetto-ass thrift shop. It was a fine experience overall, even with... yep, terrible traffic. On Friday I went down to a Walmart that was down by Highway 192 and I blew my stack when I dealt with even more terrible traffic. I made it rather clear to those drivers what I thought of their driving and how they were clearly impeding traffic. I know, not very nice... but they deserved it!
As a random aside, Friday and Saturday on TV they showed on NBC all this rhythmic gymnastic stuff, and it's just weird and abstract to me. It reminds me of that strange interpretive stuff in She's All That which Freddie Prinze, Jr. attends and he watches with a confused look on his face and he ends up getting on stage and rambling on while kicking around a hackey sack... yep, I just referenced She's All That, because I wanted to.
As for Saturday itself, I went to the location known as Friendly Confines to watch the latest UFC pay per view. To be honest, the recently mentioned Bacardi Bucket got my attention. I ended up having quite a wacky night there. As for the event, the preliminary card was pretty entertaining, and the pay per view portion not so much, but it was still fine overall and the main event was nice, although controversial. Now, onto the wackiness...
I had some beer than drank out of the Bacardi Bucket. They had several different flavors and I decided to go for the grape one, as unmanly as it may sound. I'll consider it the Purple Drank, even though actual Purple Drank is illegal as it's made with cough syrup and other flavors to get you high from the syrup's codeine. Once I finished that I was wise and had some water. During the time I was there, there were some wacky characters around and as I think sometimes, this stuff can only happen to me.
Remember the guy who had the gravelly voice and looked like former pro wrestler Arn Anderson? He was there again and I found out that he called himself... Tugboat! Hey, why not? It reminded me of the old WWF wrestler known as Tugboat. Shortly thereafter, a really tall guy appeared. I overheard later he was six foot nine. He wasn't rail-thin either so of course I had no problem with him. Soon, his lady showed up. To be honest she appeared to be zonked out of her mind. I know, a serious thing to say but they argued about how she was out of it, then they left. Then, three young blondes sat by me. Of course I enjoyed that, and not just for their looks. All of them seemed normal and they weren't ditzes or annoying or anything of that sort, even after they had a few drinks. Of course they were mainly drinking beer while I was the one sipping out of a plastic bucket at the time. But they left and soon to replace them was... four guys who were all bro-tastic. I mean, loud and loathsome douchebags, to state it bluntly. I tried my best to ignore them. Thankfully they arrived during the final fight so I did not have to be around them for too long. As soon as the show was over with I got the heck out of there.
Sunday was rather dull so like I mentioned before, this upcoming week is going to be busy. There's voting on Tuesday, I have to pick up some Blu-Rays on that day, and oh yeah, The Expendables 2 coming out on Friday. I hope the movie is as awesome as it looks.

Marion Berry, New Kids On The Block, & Incredibly True Chinese Names
Here's a recap of what I've done since this past Monday. First, though, I should mention that when I went to Game Warp this past Saturday, there was a surprising amount of ladies there. Sure, some looked to be hipster girls but still, it was more than I expected and to be shallow, some of them were not bad-looking at all. Now, onto Monday... boredom personified. I did laugh that the latest episode of Perception, but in a good way. What a wacky and yet enjoyable show. I mean, Cary Elwes appeared as a guy dressed up as a World War II soldier. It was a one episode only deal but it was still something that made me chuckle.
Tuesday, I at least did something; I went to Winter Garden Village, looked around Barnes & Noble for a bit, then used up the last coupon I had for Planet Smoothie, then I went on over to World Market to look around for a few minutes, and I picked up not only the Australian licorice that is green apple flavored, but also a new flavor known as marionberry. No, not the crackhead Marion Berry, the former mayor of Washington D.C. Rather, it's a type of blackberry. It's a different taste but it's still not bad.
Wednesday, it was rather dull so let me skip ahead to Thursday. I managed to have enough free time to go out and about and I certainly had a more interesting time than I was expecting. I ended up going to the east side of Orlando as I usually don't make it out to near where UCF is. I decided to stop by the place I now consider as one of my favorite haunts, a MovieStop location. As I've said before that place is pretty awesome to go to if you're looking for something rather obscure and otherwise hard to find, and for usually a great price. It's also nice to turn in your used DVD's and Blu-Rays as that's what the majority of their product is, used movies.
I purchased some items from there then walked on over to the nearby Best Buy, where I purchased a pair of items. One of them was pretty manly in that it was the Blu-Ray of the A-Team movie. I've seen it twice already and it's wildly entertaining, yet I've only seen the theatrical rather than the unrated version, which I understand is quite different in some regards. Now that I have the Blu-Ray I will be able to watch that. I also purchased a not so many Blu-Ray... She's All That! Hey, it's to enjoy a nice reminder of how the late 90's were as the film is a blast to the past... OK, so there are other reasons why I got it. But at least I was not the guy in there with the most questionable taste; I saw a GUY in his 20's who was wearing a New Kids on the Block t-shirt. Yes. He didn't look like a hipster either who was wearing it as a joke. I am pretty sure he is a legit fan. He's pretty brave to wear such a thing in public, to spin it in a positive light.
After that I went to the local Friendly Confines in order to have dinner. I hadn't been there in awhile. This time there were plenty of old drunks sitting at the bar but at least I had a spot to sit at. I had the usual of their chicken fingers and a beer. The drunks were usually pretty entertaining, at least. The highlight was seeing a guy who resembled former pro wrestler Arn Anderson; he was a jovial drunk, and apparently it was that gravelly-voiced dude's birthday. Good times. They were actually offering something known as a Bacardi Bucket, and in several different flavors. For only 12 bucks you get to drink a mixed drink out of a 32 ounce bucket. That sounded like trouble in the making so I declined. Plus, I'd look like such an alcoholic downing such a thing during the 6 PM hour. That's why I stuck with a beer instead.
After that I left and went to a place I hadn't been to in far too long... Total Wine & More, which sells more than just wine, but many different types of hard liquor and a wide variety of beer, from the popular brands to craft beers, which is more my thing. For example, I got a bottle of banana bread beer! True story. They also sell craft sodas, which I like picking up too as something different. I think I've mentioned it here before but Capt'n Eli's Parrot Punch... that's some tremendous soda right there. After that I drove home and dealt with the usual knuckleheads on the highway.
Here's the random break to talk about a random spam e-mail I got. This time I got one with a subject line that was rather blunt. All it said was, “Your love tool is set to thrill”. Alright then.
Friday wasn't too exciting, except that I uproariously laughed when I was watching ESPN at dinner (what I usually do, although it usually isn't my choice to watch it; I prefer to watch that loathsome channel as little as I can) the crawl at the bottom revealed the winner of the mens trampoline competition at the Olympics. Yes, that is an official Olympic sport. The Chinese dude who won it... he has a name for the ages. DONG DONG. Yes, that is his name. I was amazed someone has such a name. Even better, they showed a few minutes of the trampoline competition on NBC at like 11:45 PM ET and they showed Dong Dong's winning performance. I still laughed at his parent's decision for what they should call their son.
Saturday, the only thing I did was go to Target to walk around and get some exercise, and see what they had. It turns out, they had (only in 2 liter bottle form) a new Mountain Dew flavor, Dark Berry, themed after a certain film that's out now; you can figure it out just from what the flavor is titled. I can also tell you that Hersey's Milk Chocolate Drops are pretty darn great. What wasn't so great was the traffic there and back. Even with a short trip into town and back there was drama involving a bunch of dopes; there was more than one person driving too fast and tailgating my ass... the first time happened in my neighborhood and so when that person driving a top-heavy SUV swerved at the last minute to avoid a squirrel (!), they didn't tip over if they had been going like 60 on the highway. Still, I wasn't happy with the traffic situation. In the evening I did watch on Fuel TV and then FOX the latest UFC show. The last few big ones weren't so great, but this one managed to be a lot of fun and the FOX portion was pretty great. I hope the UFC pay per view this upcoming Saturday is as good as this one.
Sunday, it was a lazy day where I was a lazy-ass bum, pretty much. However, I do have to mention the landing of the Mars rover known as Curiosity. I did watch that online... at least, the NASA people following it and then partying like it was 1999 when it was successful. The biggest thing I got from that (many others noticed it too) is that apparently, someone at NASA has the all-time great name of FUK LI. Yes. That is even more hilarious than Dong Dong.
I'll be back a week from today, as almost always. The upcoming week should be a little more fun than what I wrote about today, as besides the UFC pay per view there's more Olympics-watching and I plan on doing another activity or two. The blog covering the 13th to the 19th will be busier than usual; The Expendables 2 is coming out, The Raid: Redemption and Jaws is coming out on Blu-Ray, there's a fun MMA show to watch on Showtime, and I expect that week to be pretty nutty.
