Besides the preceding week being my birthday week, I have to mention that Super Stupid is a rocking song from 70's funk-rock band Funkadelic (I heard it on Thursday, which was a pretty appropriate day to hear it after my time at Walt Disney World) and someone on Twitter reminded me of the Whodini song The Freaks Come Out At Night; it's appropriate for the various sights I've seen late night throughout the years... including on Saturday.
Monday, it was not a good day. I won't get into too many details but I wanted to do something well and I wasn't able to. Letting myself is bad enough but letting down some others who I don't want to let down... I felt real crappy at the time, and that's all the details I'll reveal concerning the bad parts of the day, except that while I usually don't mind being different and in fact enjoy it (if it means that I don't drive like a jackass like most people do and I prefer watching something that isn't a black hole of entertainment like, say, Jersey Shore... that is a real good thing), sometimes it really gets me down. Being more outgoing and not feeling like most people would rather avoid me then even be within 10 feet of me in person (usually that seems to be true...) would be nice too.
I ended up at the Altamonte Mall and there I ran into a famed local wrestling fan... NIC THE DESTROYER! I've mentioned him before but he happens to be an exciteable wrestling fan who also is what I'll call mentally handicapped. He's pretty wild and it's always fun when he's at a wrestling show. I was walking around and came up to him, but he was alone and talking to someone on a cell phone so I didn't chit-chat with him or anything of that sort. Oh, and for the first time I had McDonalds' Chicken McBites, which look a lot like KFC's Popcorn Chicken and as it turns out,
Tuesday was pretty boring so I'll skip ahead to Wednesday, which was also my birthday. Believe it or not I'm now 31 years old, even though I still look to be 21 or younger. Is that a good or bad thing? Even I don't know for sure. The day ended up being rather low-key, even more so than what I was expecting. I thought about going somewhere and spending some cash, but the evening proved to be rather rainy and having to deal with the typical awful Florida driver who becomes even worse with just a little moisture on the ground... no thanx. I did at least do something; I went with my parents to the local Buffalo Wild Wings. It might be a long while before I have to go there to watch a UFC pay per view or any other sporting event, so I might as well go there. Thankfully I decided to go to a place close by where I live, as soon after we got there the heavens opened up and for about 10 or 15 minutes it was like we were in the middle of a hurricane. I'm glad there was rain in the area as it was solely needed. At least I decided beforehand to celebrate my birthday on the next day. Everyone got burgers and fries and everyone enjoyed their meals. Me, I say that the huckleberry lemonade they serve there is pretty awesome.
What did I do on Thursday? Why, go to Walt Disney World! After that it was meeting up with a friend of the family. We met up with them last year. They live in Illinois and back when I was a kid we used to visit their house in the Chicago suburbs every year during the Christmas season. Last year dinner was had at the Irish restaurant at Downtown Disney known as Raglan Road, which was a good time. This year, the meal was had at a new Benihana's that opened up on the southern part of International Drive; thankfully it's the barren part of the road and not the horrible to drive through tourist area. I drove up from Disney and met them at the restaurant. The presentation wasn't too theatrical (which is a big part of the fun of going to those teppenyaki restaurants) but at least the food was pretty good.
As for my time at Walt Disney World, I went to Hollywood Studios and I must have just been unlucky as there was a larger than usual amount of idiots and nincompoops around. Boy were there some hellion little kids around... and usually I blame the white trash parents for allowing their little brats to act that way.
Friday was boring, so I'll skip ahead to Saturday, a day that was even wackier than I expected. Originally, I was going to go to a wrestling show in Orlando to see some people there I know and to see the wrestling action; after all I already had a ticket for it, which is a rarity for me. I would then possibly do something else as I was near downtown Orlando... here's what happened. I get to the building, which I hadn't been to before. Heck, I had not been in that part of Orlando before so I did not know what to expect. I find out that it's in the ghetto! Sure, it's not as bad as the wrestling shows I saw in Melbourne (Florida, not Australia) which were in a neighborhood that literally looked like Little Haiti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and after I had left one of those shows SEMI-AUTOMATIC GUNFIRE was heard; but, I'd still rather not park my car in a sketchy area. But, what made me leave and not even get out of my car was that this community center had many other activities going on so even though there were many parking spots, all of them were filled! I was far from the only one who was looking for a parking spot, too. It was just a clusterfrick there and even though various people would be disappointed or worse that I would no-show, I decided “the hell with this” and I left.
After finding out that one of the matches on there was a “Protein shake on a pole match”, maybe I made the right decision there. If you're not a pro wrestling fan, that sort of match is just dumb in every which way. I got crap for pointing that out, but I'm sticking with that opinion. I know the background behind that match being done; it doesn't mean I think it should have been done. Oh, and now I've seen some videos taken at the show, and given that there were various shithead kids running around with little or no security to curtail those little Pol Pots, I am also glad I did not have to deal with that crap, as I always got pretty angry in the past when I had to deal with lil' dictators at wrestling shows. At least one of the personalities there decided to dress appropriately when he managed a Russian tag team... he dressed up like M. Bison! You videogame fans will mark out for that guy's reference.
Instead, what I did was return to the Plaza Cinema Cafe for the first time in a long, long time (it's now run by Cobb; boy, did they ever have a shaky start when they opened as that company was run by total dipshits. I'm glad more competent people now control it). As I had time to kill I looked to see if they were showing Act of Valor at the right time, and turns out they were. I saw it, and it isn't the best movie by any means in terms of acting, the plot, or how it's all presented. But it's far from being the terrible mess I've heard it be called. Sure, it may be best called AMERICA, FUCK YEAH! THE MOVIE in terms of being subtle... it still was an alright-enough time and it was interesting to see some of what the SEALs do. And I'm not giving the movie a pass because I'd be against America if I said I hated it.
After that, as I was in downtown Orlando... MAKO'S! I might as well celebrate the birthday a few days after the fact, right? The thing is, despite being there for a real long time (10 PM until after 2:30 AM; this was because of the NBA All-Star Game being in town that the bars could stay open until 3) there aren't too many stories to tell from the night there. It was the usual wacky fun with games being played, guys doing wacky drunk dancing, and what have you; there just wasn't anything too unusual which took place, like that drunk bimbo Brandy from the last time I was there. The early part of the night there was everyone watching the Saturday night All-Star stuff, like the dunk contest and the 3 point contest. Man, was the dunk contest ever uber-lame for the most part. After that was over with and more people filed in, things became more normal. While there's really nothing else to say about the night, I really enjoyed the usual greatness that you can find there. It probably won't be until April that I'll be able to return; March will likely have some things that will take up time and money. When things become more finalized I'll reveal those details later.
I do have to mention one thing, though; the one nice young lady working there who the last time I was there I decided to be nice to after she had to deal with that one dumbass customer? This time she was pretty nice to me. Sure, she played me like a fiddle but I did enjoy the attention. She's still a nice lady... who isn't bad-looking either!
As for Sunday, I was pretty lazy. I certainly did not watch the Academy Awards nor the NBA All-Star Game. I couldn't have cared less about either.
I'll be back a week from today; there's only one interesting thing I have planned so far to end this month and start the next one, but I am sure I will end up finding some other activities to do, even if it will be less eventful than the wacky past week I had.

Internet White Knights, Cold Stone Clusterf***s, and 19 BIBLES
So, here's what I've done the past week. It was certainly less exciting than the week I had before.
I actually did something on Monday the 13th that I did not talk about when I posted my blog on the 14th, mainly because I wanted to save something to write about here. For the last time in awhile I took that SUV and the bike and biked on the James A. Van Fleet State Trail. I returned to the trail head that's off of Bay Lake Road and this time went south on the trail. I unfortunately did not see too much wildlife aside from various birds flying and sitting about. It was still a nice thing to do; I just think that due to various circumstances it'll be some time before I'm able to do something like that again.
Tuesday was dull so I'll go to Wednesday. The only interesting thing to mention there is that I got mad at some people on Facebook. Someone I know who's a local wrestler (and also a male) out of nowhere posted a rant about how women should not wrestle in the ring and instead just be sex objects as valets outside of the ring. Yeah, this upcoming Saturday is a big wrestling show in Orlando so as stupid as this may sound I would not be shocked at all if he shot off his mouth as a bizarre sort of angle where at his show he will wrestle a woman; how doing that sort of thing on a Facebook page will get more people to the show is beyond my comprehension, but that subhuman 10 pounds of monkey crap in a 5 pound bad known as Jared David St. Laurent does this sort of thing all the time and even though it usually leads to a negative affect and effect on attendance, it still happens.
Anyhow, no matter the explanation for his inane rant a random woman responded and defended the right for ladies to wrestle. Sure, she called him an A-hole but I had no problem with that as I thought the same thing! Her response brought on a torrent of replies that just left me shaking my head in shame. They were defending their pal but came off as real horse's asses AND freshmen in high school! They made many cracks about her cooking and cleaning and some went either further, saying with no evidence that she was a “pill popper” and a “bitch”. Charming. I am glad I defended her in that post with many replies and I am so happy I am not a He-Man macho type who thinks acting that way to a random girl is appropriate. Ladies, you'll never see me act like that! I'm not even trying to be an Internet White Knight there, where I defend a lady online in order to try and get brownie points. I am genuine when I say I thought their behavior was just dumb at best and offensive at worst.
Thursday's highlight was going to Wal-Mart for some minor items and Friday the only reason I went out was that my car was filthy so even though it was overcast on that day I went and got gas at a Hess station and used their car wash. I know, it was that kind of dull week when I have to talk about getting a car wash. I did find quite the steal in their bargain bin/used bin at Wal-Mart, though. It's Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection. The PS2 version has 8 games but the game on newer systems has a few more than that; as it was made a few years ago and not a lot of copies are printed, it'll probably be difficult to find. I knew about it from the love a gaming podcast I listen to has given it in the past. After playing it, it's pretty awesome to play real pinball games from the past in a virtual manner, and finding it for 10 bucks used at Wal-Mart was quite unexpected.
Speaking of pinball, just yesterday the dude who did such things as place the flippers at the bottom of the board passed away at the age of 100. There's some trivia for you. Where was I... oh yeah...
At least on Saturday I went to the Winter Garden Village area. I was thinking of going there on Sunday but then I looked online and saw that the weather for that day was looking to be poor with wind and rain and even a thunderstorm () so that's why at the last minute I decided to take that short journey. I went to Best Buy and then the nearby Super Target; someone I know wanted me to be on the lookout for something, and I also browsed around aimlessly. Neither place had the item in question but I did get a random DVD from Best Buy.
After that I went to Cold Stone Creamery as I hadn't been there in awhile. Unfortunately, the next time I go to one it may be awhile and it likely will be at another location. At least at that place even they have gotten on the make it yourself yogurt trend. There's a whole plethora of different yogurt stores where you get a cup and pour out how much yogurt you want and then you can put any toppings you want on it and the price is based on how much it weighs. There are so many of those places around; it's a fad and you know not many of those stores will be around for too long. Because they've gotten on that bandwagon that store is real cramped and it's such a clusterf*** between people ordering ice cream and other people getting their own yogurt, I MAY have inadvertently cut in line to get ice cream! The fact that I don't know for certain shows you how much of a mess it was. It was a real turnoff and as it was as busy as you'd expect for the night, I ate part of the treat in my car and had the rest at home. It's a shame I had that issue as I've always had delicious treats there, and the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection I had on this night was... well, perfect!
My Sunday was nothing-happening so instead I'll mention a spam e-mail I got on my Yahoo account. Its title was 19 BIBLES; that got my attention so I opened it, and what a message I got:
Dear Beloveth in Christ,
We are in need of 19 Giant Print Bibles and I also appeal for you to help me with a Study Bible my dear Brethren. And I pray that God Almighty will provide sothat you can send us these Bibles soon. We are believing God that you will come visiting us in the near future.
Thanks and God Bless you. My regards to your blessed family. Kindly respond soon beloveth.

Pastor Houssami Louai BurhanOkigbelugbo Christian Church69, Okigbelugbo Street, GOP-Iwiegbe 8950,Benin City,Edo State,Nigeria.
Certainly it's different from the usual Nigerian e-mail scam.
I'll be back a week from today. That blog will be more entertaining than this one, I promise. Besides my birthday on Wednesday, I know I'll be out for dinner a few nights, there's that wrestling show I'll be going to (if that one guy does not further anger me, that is), and overall there will just be a lot more to write about.

Teppanyaki, Alligators, & Star Wars Nerds
As I stated in the blog I posted yesterday, my Saturday was so eventful I had to talk about it then and save the rest of last week to today.
Monday, I decided to do some more biking. I used that SUV again and this time I went back to the Green Pond Road trailhead of the Van Fleet state trail. I went up and back a little ways; I would have been on there longer but it was sprinking and getting that bike wet probably wasn't the best idea; so wasn't being on a big metal object when it's overcast as who knows about lightning... while I was on it I saw some more wildlife, including some big turtles-I like turtles-some bright red cardinals, and two alligators! Don't worry, the big alligator and the baby one were laying by a pond and not on the trail.
Tuesday, the two ladies and I went to Uno's Pizzeria in Winter Garden as none of us had been there in awhile. At least with me, if I go to an Uno's anytime in the future it won't be that location. Having one dumbshit waiter who not only took his sweet-ass time with me but with all of the people he was waiting on (as I overheard the table right by us) will do it. The fact that their individual-sized pizzas are the same size but now are clearly smaller... that is a turn-off. What really got me fired up was looking at their February calendar they had on our table-which had a bunch of crap on it and was pretty much useless for any relevant information-had two instances of YOUR being used instead of the correct YOU'RE. You should know by now how I feel about that shockingly common mistake; seeing a restaurant do such a thing... FAIL.
Wednesday, things were better as we went to the Texas Roadhouse in Ocoee. It's a place that always has good food, and while the ladies I'm with wouldn't care about it, I've noticed that everytime I've been there, there's always more than one attractive young lass working there, a theory that was still proven true on this night. That service was much better and there was nothing to complain about.
Thursday, the two ladies had a big lunch elsewhere; it was a special occasion that I didn't attend, but as they did not want a big meal, everyone went to the nearby Denny's for dinner. It was pretty good food for the cheap prices. I had all you could eat pancakes but they were pretty big so I did not order any more after I had the original 3 I was initially given. I don't know who could eat more than that in one sitting... unless you're Jared David St. Laurent or David Tuthill, that is!
Late at night I went to Downtown Disney to check out Episode 1 in 3D. I know, I know. Don't worry, I know that the prequels suck. In fact, the Red Letter Media reviews explain why they suck rather well, even if they do it in an off-putting guise with some needless bizarre humor that nonetheless hipster douches get off on. But anyway... as I figured it would be a big crowd at their giant ETX screen to watch the film debut; I was proven right. Many people were wearing either the appropriate t-shirts... or wearing Jedi robes and carrying fake light sabers! No kidding. It was at least a well-behaved audiences and I didn't hear any idiocy. The movie still sucks but a crowd that was into it so much (there were many Darth Maul fans; killing him off was probably a dumb mistake, but Lord knows not the biggest one the prequel made).
Friday, they decided to have a big meal for dinner so we were off to Aji Sushi & Teppan, a Japanese restaurant similar to Kobe (or if you're from the Rockford-area like me, Nippon's) where a chef cooks food on a stainless steel grill right in font of you. That's known as teppanyaki. Those places are always awesome, I say. No one had been to Aji, though, so we were interested in checking it out. It turns out, it was a pretty good time. It was largely the standard sort of thing at teppanyaki restaurants. You know, a jolly cook comes out and does a lot of humor as he cooks your meal, there's a salad and soup first then some rice and vegetables and then your meal is made. It was pretty good food so that was a win. Heck, there were even some little kids around and for the most part they weren't too bad; they weren't loud screamers and they didn't run around like buffoons, so that's always a bonus.
Sunday, it was the last full day that my mom's friend was around. Dinner was spent at a local establishment with several locations around Lake County known as Oakwood Smokehouse & Grill. It's a decent place. While I would have preferred my cheeseburger to have been medium well instead of real well-done like I had asked, otherwise it was an acceptable meal.
I'll be back on February 20th. I do not have much at all planned for the upcoming six days. Heck, I do not have much planned for my birthday week next week. It's hard to believe that is only 8 days away, and that I'll be 31. Holy cow am I old, and yet I still look more like 21 than 31.

The Blog Where I Say That Brandy Isn't Always A Fine Girl
Don't worry, I'll explain why I got pretty mad at some random girl named Brandy, who was not a fine girl; in this case, the Looking Glass song lied to me. In fact, I actually cussed out that girl Brandy! Those of you who know me personally will know it's highly unusual for me to get so mad that I'd cuss out someone to their face. By the end of this blog you'll see why I got so riled up.
Anyway, I'm actually splitting this blog into two. The fact that my mom had her friend down here from Illinois and they went out to dinner a few times (and I was happy to tag along for the free meals!) is one reason for that. This blog will be all about my Saturday. Tomorrow afternoon I'll post what else I did this preceding week.
Saturday, this was quite the day. It didn't start until the evening, when I ended up in Sanford to see my first pro wrestling show live since late October. Really, a big draw for me was seeing some people I know in the crowd. That's not to downplay the wrestlers in the ring, as at that show there are many talented guys I enjoy watching; things are just different from how I was a huge fan back in the day. As for that show, the attendance wasn't as great as it used to be; I won't get into speculating as to why that's the case, but on this night I know that some things bugged me, such as someone running the sound system who did not know how to have it leveled compared to the ring announcer's mike, or the fact that you should have the sound system turned off during the matches to prevent weird feedback from it... but it still was nice to see some people for the first time in awhile and the show overall was entertaining.
Oh, and while I was there I found out that pro wrestler Christina Von Eerie (if you watch TNA wrestler, she was Toxxin; her real-life fiance Jesse Neal left that promotion recently and I presume she also left there for that reason) makes some delicious sprinkle cookies and fudge. She and Jesse Neal were there to sign autographs. As there was no regular concession stand there (a rather huge glaring error; even the worst wrestling shows I've ever attended had one of those) I had to get some Poweraid from the vending machine and thus I got something to eat from Christina's treats; she had sprinkle cookies and fudge available and I probably looked like a fatass but I had several of those during the show, as they were so damn good. Oh, and while I was there I did hear the news about Whitney Houston from someone. I can't say I was a big fan of her songs but she had quite a voice and it was pretty sad she had such problems with substance abuse. She had a lot of success and imagine how much bigger it would have been if not for those issues.
AND, one last thing from the show: during intermission they played a Backstreet Boys song! I have no idea why and I think that's a first from all the shows I've attended throughout the years. And don't say anything about how I knew such trivia; some ladies I know used to be huge fans of them.
After the show I went straight to some place I hadn't been to since November, even though it was rather chilly on that night: that's right, MAKO'S! I'm sure everyone knows by now what that is, but if you're relatively new, it's a downtown Orlando nightclub that's a great place to party as they do a lot of wacky things and have the lady employees not wearing a lot of clothes and it's loud music and dancing and all that.
So, I ended up at Mako's and here's what went down there:
* I'm not going in chronological order this time: I have to tell the first part of the story of the girl I mentioned in the beginning of this blog: that's right, Brandy. She wasn't a fine girl. What happened was that I was in the dance floor area and suddenly a random drunken blonde asked me to get her a Bacardi & Coke and I would have to pay for it but I would get the treat of dancing with her once I get her the drink. It took me a few minutes as it was busy there but once I got back I had trouble finding her at first but once I did she at first wanted me to get her a “new” drink (whatever that meant) then she played dumb and claimed I had never been asked to get her a drink! No kidding. She still took the drink but instead of drinking it herself she gave it to a random guy. I wasn't too happy about that. And believe it or not that wasn't my last interaction with Brandy...
* Anyhow, it was largely the usual there. There were some wacky games played, for instance. However, there was a jolly fat guy there wearing a crown. He got to have a saddle put on his large stomach as two random girls rode him for the prize of the girls sharing a bottle of champagne! That saddle was used a little earlier for another girl celebrating an anniversary; she rode the back of a male employee
* A random girl who looked to be in her 30's showed up and in the short time she was there, she bumped and grinded with a guy who had to be in his 50's or 60's, passionately kissed a random girl, tried to dance but appeared to be too intoxicated to do that well, and was fortunate to have a random guy find her and take care of her, which revolved around them making out and literally playing grab-ass. They vanished soon after that, and to be blunt, that guy probably got the easiest booty call he'll ever find! No way would I have wanted any of her; besides her being a nasty drunk, she was a smoker, and kissing someone with that breath... no thanx.
* So, I ended up running into Brandy again. I swear this is true... she wanted me to get her a drink! I tried to be patient and explain to her what happened the last time I tried to get her a drink, but she was so out of it, I might as well have been trying to speak Klingon to her. Finally, I got fed up with her and walked away, but not before telling her to “f*** off”! If you know me personally you'll realize me yelling at someone like that is a really out of character thing for me. I just got fed up with her drunken stupidity and she needed to be told off. Thankfully I did not see her again the rest of the night.
* Sad to say that wasn't the only drunken buffoonery I saw on this night. A cute young bartender had a hell of a time getting a wasted fool to pay for his drink, as he claimed someone else had his credit card, and he finally was convinced that he indeed had his card on him... I wanted to punch some sense into that clown! As I felt bad for the lady I got more than one drink from her and she proved to be a pretty nice person too.
* Then, two cops went into the men's room and they threw out two guys from there; I had no idea why but I'm sure they did something so stupid it required them to have to come off the street and throw them out.
* But hey, I still had a good time there. Aside from the usual fun with all the members of the opposite sex around and the quality soundtrack, I wasn't going to let one dumb female get me down. Heck, I had a short conversation with a rather attractive brunette about what she was wearing; long story. I wish I could have had more than a short chat with her, but at least she was a cool lady who didn't act stupid.
The next time I'll be back there, I don't know. I hope it isn't so long before I make my return.
Like I said, tomorrow I'll return with another blog.

I Want To Ride My Bicycle, I Want To Ride It Where I Like
By the end you'll see why on this busy week of MMA action and Super Bowl watching, I took a line from the Queen song Bicycle Race. By the way, the idea that ADAM LAMBERT will possibly join Queen as its lead singer and go on tour later this year... yikes! It's impossible to replace someone as awesome as Freddie Mercury but that guy, no way.
Monday, I decided to return to the James A. Van Fleet State Trail, but this time I went north from the spot I parked at and walked (as mentioned in the last blog I posted). The place I parked at this time was even more barren and in the middle of BFE than the other location. Points to those of you who know what I mean by BFE. It's on Bay Lake Road, which is way out in the boondocks and the trail crosses where the pavement ends and the dirt begins. If MySpace wasn't completely fouled up when it comes to blogs, I would go back and find what I wrote a few years ago when I took Bay Lake Road to go a different way to a wrestling show in Dade City and I ended up spending more time than I really wanted on dirt/gravel roads before I got back on pavement. Those roads were in the middle of a forest so I was glad my Mazda sedan survived that rough terrain with no problems; if I would have broken down in an area where I doubt I would have gotten any sort of reliable cell phone signal... that'd be quite the problem. Anyhow, I parked and walked part of that section of the trail and it was really scenic. Sometime in the future I'll have to borrow a bicycle (and the SUV) of someone I know as it's the perfect sort of trail for bike riding and I want to see more of the trail. Plus, while it's not a 4 wheel drive SUV it'd also give me a chance to explore those dirt/gravel roads again...
That night I found out that someone I knew and had at least briefly spoken to in person many times before got into a car accident; they survived but they did have to have surgery on something. I found that out late so that made me feel bad, but thank heavens they were able to survive what I understand was a pretty bad wreck.
Tuesday was pretty boring so I'll skip ahead to Wednesday, where I went out to Downtown Disney again to see another movie; this time it was The Grey. I know that movie has gotten mixed reviews mainly for how it ended, but I was fine with it and thought it worked for the movie. Your mileage may vary, though. While I was there I used the tremendous device known as the Coca-Cola Freestyle (where you can get over 100 different flavors!) and for the first time I tried Mello Yello Grape; it's pretty darn good.
Thursday, I did something that I don't think I've done for something like 15 years if not longer... ride a bike! No kidding. Also, the bike I rode (it came from someone I know, I'll put it that way) was a Huffy so old it only has 3 speeds, and it has to be older than I am, which means it must be downright ancient... but I'm just joking, anyone reading this who is older than I am. I was able to ride on the bike with no problems and aside from some really squeaky brakes it still works in a satisfactory manner.
Friday, I actually took the plunge and took the bike on a jaunt on the trail. I did that on this day and next weekend I'll spend money by going to a place I hadn't been to in too long; I'm already going to spend enough moolah this weekend so I might as well spread it out. I was able to use that SUV (it wasn't one with four wheel drive and it wasn't that large either, so the bike just barely fit in there) to go to that Bay Lake Road location. I parked there, got the bike out (it was wedged in there tightly; it was almost as tight of a fit as David Tuthill in a Speedo... and thankfully far less disgusting), put on that knapsack I got from attending that Orlando Magic preseason game back in late '10, and got going. I ended up going North on the trail a few miles then heading back. It happens that soon before I decided to go back I noticed that I couldn't go any further as they had it close to tear down and rebuild a bridge... or at least that's what it looked like. The bike worked fine; sure, it's not something I can go too fast on but a leisurely ride is always nice. I'm definitely not used to that sort of exercise as I was feeling the burn, so to speak, and I felt it from once I got done with the ride all the way to . Yeah, I'm not in great shape!
While on the trail I did see my fair share of wildlife, from a group of pheasants-do you call it a gaggle? A murder? Beats me-walking across the path in single file to an armadillo by the path, to various birds both big and small, both flying and on the ground. The most interesting thing, though, was seeing a deer (as in, one, isntead of a herd of them) far in the distance on the path. It ran away before I could get a close look at it. So yes, it's a pretty awesome trail.
On the way back I did not go back the way I came but rather I went West on the dirt and gravel road, just because. It wasn't too bad of an experience and I saw another deer, which was worth it.
Saturday night was watching the UFC pay per view... in a movie theatre. Back in 2010 they showed 4 pay per views that way. As I understand, attendance for those wasn't too great so that's why they stopped doing it. That was a shame as I always enjoyed it. Well, Saturday night it returned and this time another company presented it and this time in 3D. Overall, I had little issue with the presentation and none of the slight issues affected any of the fights. The pay per view itself was good, with the final two fights being quite memorable.
Yesterday was the big Super Bowl game and I didn't really care who I wanted to win. I decided to go out and about, and for the first time in a little over than a month I went to the local Buffalo Wild Wings. That place was more busy than the last Super Bowl, which I also went to in order to watch the game in a festive atmosphere. I sat outside on the patio this time; while I had to deal with those damn smokers it otherwise was fun as the crowd there seem to be split almost evenly as to which team they liked the most. The only issue was during the first quarter there was a middle-aged Troglodyte who was close by me (yep, I'm still a beacon for idiots!); he didn't sit by me but rather stood and walked around and sometimes was too close to me for my comfort. He just wasn't stupid and drunk and could barely communicate and had trouble comprehending the simplest things the bartenders told him... he also was an asshole who complained about the quantity and quality of booze he received. I SO wanted to spit in his face or kick him full force in his balls or even break my bottle of Bud Light Platinum over his head... thankfully he vanished during the second quarter, never to return. Speaking of the new Platinum, it tastes fine but the main appeal is that it contains 6% alcohol.
Otherwise the people I was around acted well. For a period of time I sat by a biker woman (she looked relatively normal; I mean, she wasn't like Mama Fratelli from The Goonies!) who had an adorable little puppy with her. I was so happy not to have to be around ogres and idiots. In fact, most of the people on the patio didn't act like drama queens or anything of that nature. As for the game, it was pretty darn good, as it was competitive throughout and it certainly had a memorable final few minutes of game time. If the Patriots big weapon (Rob Gronkowski) hadn't been playing with a bad ankle things may have been different but as is the Giants managed to get the win; I never thought when the playoffs started that they'd be the champs today, but good job on their part.
As for the commercials, I enjoyed them overall quite a bit more than all the lame ones you got last year. And good Lord was Madonna much better as halftime entertainment than the terrible performance the Black Eyed Peas put on last year. The only part of that halftime show worth anything was all the pyrotechnic stage stuff. This year, Madonna at least has a good singing voice (albeit she was lip syncing) and most of her songs I manage to enjoy, a drastic difference from all the crap Fergie and Co. put out. I was even able to tolerate the guest appearances by the terrible M.I.A and Nicki Minaj. The presentation there was rather extravagant with all the stage stuff and such things as that guy who looked like Richard Simmons bouncing and flipping about on that wire. I don't really get all the whining I heard about this year's halftime show. I thought it was much better than the one last year so there shouldn't have been so much bellyaching for that reason alone.
I'll be back around this time next week with a new blog. There's only a few things in mind I plan on doing, but they include finally going to a wrestling show (the first time in a few months) and something else I haven't done in far too long. It shouldn't be a dull blog, in other words.
