Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Josie Pussycat, & The Final Countdown

Here's what I've done in the past week. It featured various things that I did expect, and some I did not.

Monday the 9th was rather dull. I did not do too much, but at 10 PM I did something I rarely have done in the past 10 years or so... watch a fictional TV show. Honest, it's been that long. If I watch something on TV it's pretty much non-fiction. However, I decided to check out the program known as Perception. Sure, part of it ^may^ have to do with it starring Rachael Leigh Cook but the point is, I saw this show about how a college professor who has schizophrenia (played by Will from another show I never watched, Will & Grace; what I saw of it... no) and solves crimes with his FBI agent pal (Cook); it's wacky but still entertaining.

I mean, the highlight wasn't even a random minor character-a college girl-taking off her shirt and getting to see a busty broad in her bra, but rather Rachael (her character's name is Kate Moretti but to steal a phrase from a forum, her character name should be Special Agent Josie Pussycat) catching a fat bad guy by jumping off the second story fire escape and flying like she was Superfly Jimmy Snuka and landing right on him; his blubber must have been great padding as she was 100 percent after that 20 some odd foot leap. I laughed uproariously. What a tremendous show. Speaking of tremendous, before I saw that show for the first time I saw the movie Josie & The Pussycats for the first time. Wow. What a wacky and strange film that is rather loud and garish, bright and colorful that is actually a satire that rips such things as consumerism, subliminal messages and how manufactured pop music is. I loved it! And no not just because the three leads are hot and play hot rocker girls. It's usually pretty funny.

Tuesday, me and someone I know went to Denny's; it was close by and we wanted to check out their limited edition menu where they offer up some items from across America; it's what they did last year too. The service wasn't the best but hey the food was good so that got a thumbs up from me.

Wednesday I went to Barnes & Noble to look for some items. I did make a purchase there and unfortunately as I was about to check out, a stream of nincompoops came streaming in and they overwhelmed the poor cashier with their stupidity; after they cleared out, I was finally able to cash out and I went to World Market as I hadn't been there in so long. I got some obscure sodas and I found the elusive aussie-style green apple licorice I mentioned a few weeks ago. That was a pleasant surprise.

Thursday was dull so I'll mention one quick thing: in the newest edition of the most interesting spam e-mail I've gotten as of late, I got one entitled: “Be In Full Control Of Ejaculation” and all it said in the body was, “all the chicks will be lining up to lie with you!” I know, gross. Then, another day I got one with the subject line, “So hard you can break an egg”. I have a pretty good idea what that was referring to so I did not need to read said e-mail.

Friday... I don't believe in such things as curses or jinxes or any of that nonsense but if you do, you could say that Friday the 13th ended up biting me in the ass. I was going to go out and about in the evening, but first I would stop at Pinkberry and then at the nearby Barnes & Noble before heading on over there. Problem is, while I was driving to Pinkberry... the right front headlight burned out! In September of '08 the left one did that, and then just in May the left one did it again; I was NOT happy about the situation... still, I got what I wanted from Pinkberry, which was once again their strawberry flavor, which was at least tasty and made me not as upset with the whole situation. Of course, there was some horrendous traffic on the way there and back, but I'll spare you those details.

Saturday... that was a big day. I got the headlight fixed, and I also got the car serviced at the same time, as it was overdue for that. I went back home for a bit before driving to Sanford. There was a wrestling show in the city but I mainly went there to see someone who would also be there, and for a good reason. I don't know how much that person wants me to say about the situation but it would be the last time I would be seeing them for awhile. No, it's not a lady friend. Rather, it was a guy who I've known for quite awhile and I wasn't going to miss that moment. It turns out, a wrestler and a ring announcer are also moving away soon; I hear that all of them are moving for pretty good and logical reasons; still, it makes me feel melancholy. Still, I am sure all will end up being fine. I certainly know what it's like to move away. It's sad but eventually you'll get used to your new surroundings.

Before the show, I ended up eating at a place just for its food... Hooters! Oh, and the girls there weren't too bad either. I sat at the bar, had my almost usual of a burger and fries and also a hard cider. The lady working the bar, let's just say she was qualified to be an employee at that joint. She even admitted the obvious to another customer, that her assets were enhanced.

The show itself was quite entertaining. It's been too long since I've even been at a wrestling show. There was some quality action on display. Some things left me puzzled and I think something went wrong with a new commissioner made his debut and he did something to rebuff one of the most hated heels in the company and for some reason the heel gets cheered and I doubt that was the plan... still, it was great to see some people for the last time in who knows how long. By the way, the theme music of one of the wrestlers on this night was The Final Countdown. Other wrestlers have used it and it's always awesome, as it is an all-time great song, even if it's in a cheesetastic sense.

To make me feel not as sad about things, I ended up at good old Mako's. I did not spend as much time there as usual but it was still a good time. I'll try to make it back there sometime later in the month where I can spend a little more time. It was largely the same old same old there, which is a good thing. Drunk women shaking their T&A all about, wacky games being played, beer bongs being used, spankings with paddles, and other surprises I probably shouldn't give away like this.

There isn't too much to say aside from the usual taking place, although it seemed like one of the ladies there changed since the last time I saw her. I mean, a physical change; maybe she had a chest cold or something as she looked congested... anyway, it was amusing to watch the drunk people act all wacky, and I shouldn't have laughed but I did when I saw some rather heavyset people attempt to bump and grind on each other. They were all hot and sweaty and yeah, what a look. For some reason, while walking there I noticed that some people were dressed up in wacky outfits. I have no explanation as to why. I presume that is why I saw a cute young lady wear a Navy-inspired outfit of a black and white dress striped dress and the appropriate hat. That dame had a boyfriend so it was not like I was able to compliment her on her cool duds.

Sunday, I stayed at home and relaxed. As for this upcoming week, I already have a few things lined up; Thursday is going to be a LONG day as I'll be seeing all three Batman movies that Chris Nolan has done, including the debut Dark Knight Rises, on an IMAX screen. That should hopefully be good. Then, Saturday night I'll be watching a UFC pay per view at a local watering hole. So I know I'll have a good amount to write about for a week from today.
